Laboring class ??

Assalamualaikum.

This time cik nak kongsi kisah cik attend laboring class before Little Hana lahir dulu. Kelas ni free sebab tu cik semangat nak pergi hehe. Kyushu Medical Center is the name of the hospital cik ulang alik dok wat pregnancy check up.

Ada 6 seat untuk satu group, and there were about 8 groups overall.

Some of them sudah berusia 30-an n having their first child. Maknanya, Japanese kahwin lambat is not a big deal for them. Anyway, having 1 child in their family is like enough already. Maybe sebab kos nak sekolahkan anak-anak tinggi kat Jepun ni.

After that,  kami diberi kuiz iaitu menyusun kronologi proses melahirkan anak. Daripada keluar tanda, contraction rhythm, air ketuban pecah, kelahiran anak, sampai la uri ditarik keluar. At that that barula cik tau..bukan ade satu sahaja kronologi semasa proses ini berlaku. Kadang-kadang ade orang yang tak keluar tanda or contraction boleh  berlaku before or after air ketuban pecah . Naruhodo ne ...

And then, program diteruskan dengan tontonan video. Umm lain sikit la dengan apa yang cik nampak kat tv/ imagine..Jadi it was a new thing to learn too.

Disamping itu, those midwifes ajar sekali cara-cara mengurut badan si ibu apabila sedang mengharungi contraction. Memandangkan cik pergi sorang je time tu, jadi adela sorang midwife yang mengurut cik .Sedap nyee ..terima kasih cik midwife!.Aha after that, lampu dewan tu ditutup... Kami disuruh tutup mata...and then, midwife tu suruh kami bayangkan macam mana diri kami menghadapi situasi apabila anak nak lahir soon. Suasana yang sunyi, gelap.. midwife tu seakan bercerita daripada awal tanda keluar sampai la kelahiran baby. Masa tu, dalam kepala cik ni dok imagine apa yang midwife tu cerita..Seronok sangat sampai menitis air mata ni. Syahdu je...Bila lampu buka, cepat-cepat kesat air mata..rupanya bukan air mata cik sorang je yang mengalir.

After that, kami dibawa melawat ke wad bersalin. Kat situ kami dibawa masuk ke bilik menunggu bersalin, bilik bersalin, bilik mandi baby and sekitar wad. Time tu cik rasa memang dah tak sabar nak bersalin...

Alhamdulillah, cik rasa bersyukur sangat dapat attend kelas ni. My thinking about delivering baby memang 180 degree berubah ceceecceh. Yela, before that, cik memang cuak, banyak sangat tak faham sebab asik dengar orang cerita. Lepas attend kelas ni, cik rasa tenang sikit dan tak sabar-sabar nak melahirkan junior cik yang asik dok menendang dalam perut time tu.  Baru cik faham macam mana baby keluar daripada perut si ibu (baby actually berpusing ooo masa lalu kat pintu bawah tu).

How much does it costs?

Cik nak share my own experience pasal kisah melahirkan anak kat bumi Jepun ni. Macam kat Malaysia, of course swasta lebih tinggi kos nya.

In my case, I choose untuk melahirkan anak di hospital kerajaan. Kos yang perlu dibayar ngam2 je ngan duit kerajaan Jepun bagi ni which means, cik beranak free  je .. Kos tu termasukla, bab2 labouring, kos tinggal di hospital for 6 days, kelengkapan baby ( cik tak perlu sediakan apa2 for the baby sepanjang tinggal kt wad like pampers, baju etc) ,kos ubat2 yg cik terima for that 6 days, and also kos rawatan+check up after beranak.

Some of my friends, ada yang beranak kat hospital swasta. In that case, kene bayar lebih sket .. tapi of course tiptop la service nye. 5star okkey.. Ade jugak yang pilih hospital which costs less than mine. Contohnye, total cost is 300k yen, so lebihan duit kerajaan yang diterima tu akan menjadi milik mereka huhuhu (almost 100k yen @ RM 4k). Syok2...

Ape pun yang cik nak sampaikan kat sini is how kerajaan Jepun menjaga warga mereka. Mula-mula memang cik risau juga pasal kos nak beranak kat sini, tapi lega yang teramat la bile kemudahan like this diberikan tanpa mengira samada cik ni warganegara mereka or not. Well, in case cik tak nak beranak kat Japan pon , cik tetap BISA menerima wang yang berjumlah 420k yen tersebut . Itulah kenyataan nya ..

Duit is not everything ...yes it is true..But zaman sekarang ni, siapa yang tak happy dpt duit yang halal kan? Maklumla sana sini mahal sekarang, dont you think so?

Once I knew I was expecting..

This time I want to share about my experience when I was pregnant in Japan. Oh before that, let me introduce my beloved junior Little Hana. She is now nearly 5 months old.

Little Hana

After went to a doctor to confirm my pregnancy, in Japan, we are suppose to go to the pejabat daerah nearly to our house. I dont know if we have to do the same in Malaysia. Tujuan ke sana is untuk mendapatkn 母子手帳 [ boushitecyou] which means Maternal and Child Health Book.

This book is given to you once you knew you are pregnant and it is free. It is for recording everything about si ibu mengandung everytime check up and also about the child since she was born sampaila umur die 7 thn nanti regarding health and development. So everything about Little Hana since she was as small as seed sampai la nak masuk darjah 1 nanti will be recorded in this book.

I just wish there is this kind of book that my mom has to hand me. I imagine myself and Hana sitting on a couch and mengimbas kembali all the memories cececeh sambil menyelak helaian2 in the book. Japan teaches me to manage my baby even before she was born. Everything is being recorded and can be referred to anytime.

Also, I did not just received the boushiteicyou book but every expecting parents received a book of coupon. So most of the time when I went for baby check up I did not have to pay anything because these coupons pay all the bills. This also one way the government helps their citizens. "Pregnancy is not a disease. So you don't have to pay for the treatment you get" was what the pejabat daerah staff told me. This really helped me a lot since at that time my husband did not receive his scholarship yet.

There was also a coupon for the pregnant mothers to have the dental check up. So I can go to any selected dental clinic and just pay 500yen (maybe around rm20) to have my teeth all checked. Without those coupons I can not imagine how much I will spend for all the treatment I get along my pregnancy.

Please share your story too cause I would love to know!! See you in the next post :)
